Overview

Sailung—known as the land of 100 hills—is one of Nepal’s most sacred and energetically potent landscapes. Revered by shamans, yogis, and pilgrims, Sailung is a living altar where sky, earth, and ancestral realms converge. This journey is a rare opportunity to step into indigenous shamanic traditions, guided ritual, nature immersion, and deep inner listening in the high Himalayas.

This itinerary is designed for seekers, healers, and conscious travelers wishing to experience Nepal beyond tourism—through ritual, presence, and reverence.


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu – Grounding & Orientation

Altitude: ~1,400 m

  • Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport

  • Transfer to a heritage hotel in Kathmandu Valley

  • Rest, gentle grounding practices after travel

  • Evening welcome circle

    • Introductions & intention-setting

    • Overview of Sailung, its spiritual significance, and local traditions

  • Traditional Nepali dinner

Overnight: Kathmandu


Day 2: Kathmandu to Sailung – Entering the Sacred Hills

Drive: 6–7 hours (scenic mountain journey)

  • Early breakfast

  • Drive through river valleys, terraced fields, and forested hills

  • Arrival in Sailung region

  • Check-in at eco-lodge / homestay

  • Afternoon rest and acclimatization

  • Sunset walk on one of the sacred hills

  • Evening fire offering (simple incense & prayer)

Day 3: Shamanic Teachings & Ancestral Connection

  • Sunrise meditation facing the Himalayan range

  • Traditional breakfast

  • Introduction to local shamanic cosmology

    • Elements, directions, spirit allies, and land guardians

  • Guided nature walk with ritual pauses

  • Midday rest and journaling

  • Afternoon Ancestral Connection Ceremony

    • Drumming, chanting, and silent listening

  • Evening sharing circle

Day 4: Sailung Ritual Day – The 100 Hills Pilgrimage

  • Early morning pilgrimage walk across selected Sailung hills

  • Offerings at sacred points (flags, grains, water, incense)

  • Shaman-led ceremony for:

    • Release of old patterns

    • Calling back personal power

  • Picnic lunch in nature

  • Free time for rest, solitude, or photography

  • Evening chanting & star-gazing

Day 5: Integration, Healing & Closing Ritual

  • Gentle movement and breathwork

  • Healing session (group energy work / sound / ritual)

  • Time for personal reflection

  • Closing ceremony:

    • Gratitude offerings to the land

    • Blessings for the path ahead

  • Farewell dinner with local hosts

Overnight: Sailung


Day 6: Sailung to Kathmandu – Return with the Medicine

  • Sunrise tea and final prayers

  • Drive back to Kathmandu

  • Arrival by late afternoon

  • Trip ends or onward travel support available
